Bonjour,

I also installed the overclock mod in my N64 already modded with UltraPIF and N64RGB from tim. So sadly I can confirm that it's NOT WORKING with an original Everdrive X7 from krikzz. Mostly the console will crash already in the UltraPIF menu or it won't even boot up at all. Sadly I recently sold my chinese knockoff of the ED64 Plus so I can't test if it's working with that one. Maybe anybody who can test that? Also all original cartridges that I have tested so far will freeze sooner or later when running in overclocked mode. Maybe I should add some cooling mods because it's the heat crashing the system? Is there a list of games that are confirmed to work 100% when overclocked?
Regarding cooling, I don't think that's the cause. As mentioned in the tutorial, I performed long-term stability and endurance tests during development, and no additional cooling was required. To date, no issue related to the Delta Overclock mod itself has been identified that would require installing a fan.
Since several users have reported stable operation with UltraPIF, Expansion Pak and overclocking enabled, I would be more inclined to suspect something specific to your installation or hardware combination.
Could you share a few clear photos of your installation (both sides of the board if possible), including the UltraPIF, N64RGB and the overclock wiring? It may help identify a wiring issue, signal integrity problem, or something else that isn't immediately obvious.
Thanks,
Xrider

I'm wondering if it could be the cooling pads, or maybe overheating RAM or the CPU... First, change the pads if you haven't already, and see if an expansion pack makes a difference, eliminating possibilities one by one.

I checked all solder points. bridges and continuity. system runs perfect. when i test with mario golf japanese cartridge I long press in game reset to change overclock led to blue. then i turn off and on again . then the game never gets over the intro without crashing. skipping the intro is also not possible. krikzz verdrive x7 wont even boot. right now i dont have any other cartridges to test.
This is actually a configuration that I have never personally had the opportunity to test myself. The Delta Overclock mod was not developed around a setup that is modified to this extent (UltraPIF + N64RGB + Expansion Pak + EverDrive + overclocking).
That being said, all users who have reported running a similar configuration have been able to use it successfully, and in theory there should not be any compatibility issues with this combination.
Since your soldering, continuity checks and bridge inspections all look good, and because the issue seems to appear only after switching clock modes and power cycling, I would still lean toward something specific to your particular hardware combination rather than an inherent issue with the Delta Overclock mod itself.
Unfortunately, without additional cartridges to compare behavior across different games, it is difficult to determine whether the problem is related to the cartridge, EverDrive, UltraPIF, timing tolerances, or the interaction between multiple mods.
If possible, I would encourage you to test with a few other original cartridges when you have the opportunity. That would give us a much better indication of where the issue is coming from.
Thanks,
Xrider

Thanks for your answer. Yes I'll get my hands on some additional cartridges from all Regions and will test them. Gonna keep you updated.

Can you name me please some games that you have tested successfully?
Lot of games, but try Mario 64, Starwars RS, DK64, Diddy kong racing
