The SmartWave for PU-7 and PU-8 Early is very different from the other versions.
It is not simply based on a High or Low signal level.
Why do you need this information exactly ?
Yes quite different indeed. Because normally I mod my consoles with a RP2040 zero and a Si5351 for IGR and DFO. But on my PU-8 early I get a nasty screwed up picture. So Basically I want to make my cheapass

mod compatible with PU-7 and PU-8 early.

Reverse engineering is part of the fun, but keep in mind that SmartWave remains proprietary and all rights are reserved. The implementation for PU-7 and early PU-8 is the result of countless hours of work, testing, and validation.
That said, good luck with your project! We all share the same passion for these old machines, and it's always great to see people experimenting, learning, and keeping the hardware alive.
